The Scarborough Law planning experience

Two meetings. An intentional estate plan.

A more complete approach to designing, implementing, and signing your estate plan—with the organized binder delivered during the final ceremony.

Before the first formal meeting

Initial screening and engagement

Start with our preliminary inquiry. If appropriate, you can reserve a complimentary 15-minute Discovery Call through our website. The inquiry and call are separate from the two formal estate-planning meetings. The firm completes its review and engagement process before the Legacy Design Session.

01
Formal meeting one

Legacy Design Session (LDS)

We review your family, assets, goals, incapacity planning, fiduciary appointments, and plan structure. We work toward the decisions needed to prepare your estate plan and its implementation roadmap.

↳
Preparation between meetings

CIGI and implementation readiness

Our internal team drafts and coordinates documents, deeds and assignments as applicable, fiduciary letters, your Family Wealth Inventory, funding strategy, and beneficiary coordination. Material issues are resolved before scheduling your signing. An optional Legacy Interview may be arranged separately.

02
Formal meeting two

Estate Implementation Ceremony (EIC)

The completed plan is signed with required witnesses and notarization as appropriate. Your organized estate-planning binder is delivered during this final meeting—there is no separate binder-delivery appointment.

✓
Post-signing follow-through

Record, fund, and confirm

Required deed recordings, institutional funding steps, digital copies, and remaining confirmations can continue after signing without routinely scheduling another client meeting. Complex funding matters may require additional coordination.
